everyshire 01 - the aorta

minecraft post made on friday, jun. 27, 2025 (10:02pm)

let's see how this little web app of mine can handle a new category. hopefully exactly the way i programmed it to? knock on wood! speaking of knocking on wood, a while ago, i knocked down the first block of wood in my minecraft survival forever world called everyshire. since then, i've taken breaks from it here and there, but i've been committed to it for four or five months strong now! to show you how committed i am, this is my starter base: the aorta of everyshire.

my first thought starting everyshire was that i had a billion different tiny ideas for minecraft worlds, and... i wanted to combine them all into one! every world i ever wanted to make... in one. forever. and that manifested in a more grounded idea: one large-scale build for every single biome! after i tried to make a catgirl city in the plains biome and it went belly up, i decided i wasn't in the mood to make any kind of coherent city build. maybe someday i'd be in the mood to make a bunch of buildings in one relatively consistent style, but today is not that day!

so... that's how i came to the realization that i should be in the desert. as much as i like seeking out more exotic biomes--pale gardens and cherry biomes and deep darks and whatnot--the desert has always been my personal favorite. and it's where i decided to start a brand new quest, leaving catgirl city for another time. i wanted to make a gigantic-scale chaotic build--one that combines a fuckload of other builds--using every single block in minecraft, and i want it to be this forever world's centerpiece. the first name i came up for it was "the heart of everyshire," and that's what i'm sticking with.

in fact, i've wanted to collect every block in minecraft since i was a tiny child and the game had about a quarter of the blocks it has now! but... simply collecting all the blocks has been done in a very short amount of time in the past. while it's a fun challenge, it's not exactly... a forever challenge. what seems more like a forever challenge, though, is making a build of significant size dedicated to at least every type of block.

i mean, think of the possibilities! i could make a prismarine aquarium tower, i could make a corrupted-looking end monster out of the end stone blocks and obsidian; speaking of obsidian, i could make a crazy-looking gigantic nether portal... and i could do that for all types of blocks! all the woods, all the colors, all the different plants, sculk, iron, nether bricks, even brand new stuff like resin and dried ghasts!

but... for now, i want to start off with the basics and use blocks that don't exactly have a hyperspecific type. i'll worry about what to do for the magenta or acacia or "exposed copper" builds once i have, say, the cobblestone, prismarine, moss and sandstone builds done. and the first build i decided to make in this endeavor was, of course, the aorta. the name makes a lot more sense now, doesn't it? it's the heart of the heart! the centerpiece of the centerpiece! and i spent a very long time on it and now it's done. more to come soon!!!
